1 Cup Basmati Rice
1/2 Cup Urad Dal (Without Skin)
10oz Fresh baby Spinach (Wash and Chopped)
1 1/2 Tablespoon Oil (Corn or Canola)
1/4 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jira)
1 Green Chilli
1 Clove Garlic (Optional)
Salt to Taste
3 Curry Leaves (Sweet Limdo)
Wash rice 3-4 times and soak it for 1 hour.
Take 4 cups of Water in a Medium Pot and Let it Boil.
Then Add your Rice and add a little salt.
Keep the Rice a little under cooked.
When It is ready, Remove extra water with Strainer and Keep Aside.
Put some Oil in the Pan and Let it heat on Medium.
Add Cumin Seeds and Curry Leaves and Let It Fry.
Then Put your Dal in Lower heat and Let the Dal Roast.
Add Pinch of Salt and Let Dal Become Golden Brown.
Lower the heat to the lowest point and then add your rice and mix well.
It is recommended to use wooden fork so you don’t break the rice.
