salt to taste

juice from 1/2 a fresh lemon

1/2  teaspoon fresh ground black pepper



1/2 block of organic sprouted tofu

1/4 cup corn flour

1/4 cup rice flour

salt to taste

1/4 teaspoon crushed cumin

1/8 teaspoon ajwain seed

1/4 teaspoon turmeric

1/2 cup corn oil or canola oil



This is mix of corn and rice flour with all the spices/flavorings .

This is the tofu cut and with salt, lemon juice, and black fresh ground pepper.

  1. Cut tofu into strips that are a 1/2 inch wide and mix with salt, lemon juice, and black pepper. Set to the side.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the corn and rice flour. Then add the salt, crushed cumin, ajwain seeds, and turmeric.
  3. Cover the tofu pieces in the flour mixture.
  4. Cover the bottom of a non-stick pan with the oil and let it get hot over medium-low heat. Put a few pieces of tofu on the pan and cook each side for about 10 seconds or until the sides are all golden brown. Serve hot with tomato sauce or sweet sauce or serve by themselves.
