Vegan Pan Roasted Bananas 🍌


1/2  tablespoon oil: corn 🌽 or canola

1 green chili, chopped

3 curry leaves

2 raw bananas, peels and chopped into 3/4 inch pieces

pinch of red chili powder

1/4 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon ground cumin

salt to taste

1/4 cup cilantro leaves, wash and cut small.


  1. On medium heat, add oil to the pot.  Once heated, add green chili and curry leaves, frying for 5-10 seconds.  Add a pinch of red chili and turmeric.
  2. Add banana and cumin.
  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes
  4.  Add salt to taste
  5. Remove from heat
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve
